Q: I am having the the toughest trouble with digestion. I have never “juiced”. I am also battling a “potential inflammatory-something”. The doctor didn’t take it seriously, but I am starting to get tired of the pain. Other than look for a new doctor, I also want to do a little healing on my own. I especially feel pain at the bottom of my rib cage and every time I drink water my stomach intensely hurts. I also have intense pain that happens after I eat (the pain is near my belly button)…anyway…I am in constant pain. Any options that you would recommend? I definitely want to do a three day cleanse. The best I felt was when I did the clean out before my lower gi…but then the inflammation pain came back. It is also presumed that I have IBS…but I am not following a strict diet.
A: In this case, I would strongly recommend a raw food diet. Looks like your digestive tract is deprived of enzymes and good bacteria. Its flora needs to be rebuilt. Implement raw aloe vera into your diet on a daily basis. A juice cleanse or a short water fast will greatly help with the digestive issues and give you a kick start to transitioning to a raw, plant-based diet.
