Q: I love to drink tea. However, I’m accustomed to drinking it with sugar and sometimes with milk depending on the type of tea.
I’m trying to change my habit of adding sugar to teas. Do you have any suggestions on how to do that so that I’ll still be able to enjoy drinking tea?
A: There are many healthy sugar alternatives that go very well in tea. They include maple syrup (grade B), date sugar, stevia, coconut palm sugar, and sugar cane juice crystals. Some people also use raw honey (not vegan) and agave nectar. If you do use agave, make sure that it is clear agave.
